Our Staff

The Black Book team is dedicated to delivering independent, unbiased market research and competitive intelligence to the healthcare and outsourcing industries. At the core of our operations are our Survey Managers, who play a vital role in sending invitations, driving participation, publicizing Qualtrics survey links, and ensuring strong respondent turnout for our crowdsourced surveys. Since 2011, they have driven over three million verified survey responses, including more than 500,000 responses in 2024 alone, representing participants from 110 countries. These efforts ensure that Black Book remains a trusted source for reliable insights and data.

Our Black Book scoring system relies on rigorous third-party and outsourced survey validation processes. This includes participant verification, follow-ups on outliers, and careful reviews conducted by internal employees. These processes guarantee the integrity and accuracy of the data we provide. Black Book’s editors, researchers, and operations staff are located in our Tampa, Florida office and 15 remote locations worldwide, leveraging a cost-effective and collaborative approach to staffing. Our commitment to maintaining independent, unbiased results means that our survey managers remain hidden from public contact to avoid undue influence. All inquiries should be submitted through our general email or phone messaging system, ensuring a professional and structured response to specific interests or questions.

As the authors of the globally recognized Black Book of Outsourcing and experts in international managed services, we employ a cost-savings approach to staffing and service delivery. By working with the best vendors and consultants, Black Book ensures the production of trustworthy competitive intelligence and market research outcomes free from interference or financial influence by those being evaluated. This approach guarantees our reports and insights remain credible, respected, and valuable to our clients worldwide.

Unlike many industry organizations, Black Book does not rely on heavy-handed sales strategies or impose mandatory inclusion, subscription, or consulting fees. Our limited order reception department focuses on serving our clients’ needs rather than pressuring for payments or participation. This ethical, transparent approach reinforces Black Book’s reputation as one of the most trusted and respected organizations in the healthcare and outsourcing markets.
